This Privacy Policy explains how PustakAI ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, stores and protects personal information when you use our platform at www.pustakai.com.

Information We Collect

• Parent name, mobile number and optional email.
• Tutor name, mobile number, optional academy name and email.
• Student profiles created only by parents, including student name, class, student code and PIN.
• Lesson PDFs and lesson images uploaded by parents or tutors.
• Exam results, marks, feedback, exam ID and evaluation date.
• Payment transaction references processed through Razorpay.
• Technical information such as device, browser, IP address and diagnostic logs.

We do not permanently store uploaded student answer sheets. Answer sheets are processed temporarily through OCR.Space and AI evaluation, then discarded after processing. Only marks, feedback, exam identifiers and progress history are retained.

AI Processing

Some educational requests are processed using OpenAI APIs and a self-hosted Gemma model. AI responses are intended to assist learning only.

We implement industry-standard administrative and technical safeguards. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Children cannot register independently. Parent consent is required before creating any student profile. PustakAI is designed for use by children only under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Students cannot self-register or upload files. We collect only the information necessary to provide educational services.

Account Deletion

Users may request deletion of their account through the application or by contacting support@pustakai.com. When a parent account is deleted:

• Parent profile is deleted.
• Linked student profiles are deleted.
• Learning history is removed where feasible.
• Coins may be forfeited unless otherwise required by law.
• Certain payment or legal records may be retained where required by applicable law.

AI Usage & Disclaimer

PustakAI uses OpenAI services and a locally hosted Gemma model to provide educational assistance. AI-generated responses, evaluations and explanations are intended solely for learning support. They are not official academic grades, certifications or professional advice. Parents and tutors should review important educational decisions.
